How an individual lease works
You sign a lease for your bedroom, not for the whole apartment. If a roommate moves out, transfers or stops paying, it is not your rent to cover. Each bedroom locks, and each lease runs on its own.
Rent is quoted per bedroom, per month, and includes the furniture, internet and utilities up to a monthly allowance. Twelve equal installments, August to July.
Guarantors and roommates
Most residents apply with a guarantor, usually a parent, who can live in any state. A guarantor page on a live site lists exactly what is needed so nobody discovers it by failing an application.
Bring your own group or ask to be matched. The tour form has a roommate-preference field, and the leasing team reads every answer.
